DA arrear formula — 60% to 63%

The 3 percentage point increase (60% → 63%) is applied to the basic pay drawn in the Pay Matrix. The rounding rule from the order applies.

Monthly DA arrear = Basic Pay × (63% − 60%) / 100 = Basic Pay × 3 / 100 = Basic Pay × 0.03 Total arrear (4 months) = Monthly DA arrear × 4 Example (Basic Pay ₹50,000): Monthly arrear = ₹50,000 × 0.03 = ₹1,500 4-month arrear = ₹1,500 × 4 = ₹6,000 GPF deduction = ₹6,000 (full arrear → GPF) Net cash payout = ₹0 (paid from Nov 2026)

Note: DA on fraction ≥ 50 paise → round up to next ₹1. Fraction < 50 paise → ignore.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 60% to 63% DA arrear calculation sheet?

It is an employee-wise government difference sheet that captures the unpaid dearness allowance amount arising from the Rajasthan DA revision from 60% to 63% effective 1 July 2026. It shows due DA, drawn DA, monthly difference, GPF deduction, and net payable for each of the four arrear months.

How do you calculate Rajasthan DA arrear from 60% to 63%?

Monthly DA arrear = Basic Pay × 3%. Total 4-month arrear = Monthly DA arrear × 4. For Basic Pay ₹50,000: monthly arrear = ₹1,500, total arrear = ₹6,000. The full arrear amount is credited to the GPF account; cash payment begins from November 2026 salary.

Which months are covered in the Rajasthan 60% to 63% DA arrear?

The order dated 30 October 2026 covers July 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026 — four months: July, August, September, and October 2026.

When is cash payment admissible for the 60%–63% DA order?

Cash payment is admissible from the November 2026 salary, payable on 1 December 2026. The Jul–Oct 2026 arrear is fully credited to the GPF / GPF-2004 / GPF-SAB account.

Which GPF account receives the DA arrear credit?

(i) Employees recruited before 1-1-2004 → GPF account.
(ii) Employees recruited on or after 1-1-2004 → GPF-2004.
(iii) Employees of Autonomous Bodies / PSUs / Boards / Corporations → GPF-SAB.

What is the rounding rule for DA calculation?

Per the order: fractions of 50 paise and above are rounded up to the next higher rupee. Fractions less than 50 paise are ignored.

How is DA arrear different from salary arrear?

DA arrear covers only the dearness allowance component arising from a rate revision. Salary arrear is broader and includes changes in basic pay, HRA, DA, and other allowances resulting from pay commission revisions or grade upgrades.

Is DA arrear taxable under income tax?

Yes — DA arrear is treated as salary income in the year of receipt. You can claim tax relief under Section 89(1) of the Income Tax Act by filing Form 10E on the Income Tax portal before submitting your ITR.

When should I file Form 10E for DA arrears?

File Form 10E online at the Income Tax portal before filing your ITR for the relevant assessment year. Filing Form 10E after the ITR will result in denial of Section 89 relief by the system.

Can teachers and pensioners use this DA arrear calculator?

Yes — the calculator is suitable for all Rajasthan state government employees including teachers, lecturers, principals, and non-teaching staff. Pensioners should note that the Finance Department issues a separate Dearness Relief (DR) order for pensioners, and the calculation base is the pension, not the basic pay.

What was the DA rate before this revision?

The previous rate was 60%, revised effective 1 January 2026 by the order dated 23 April 2026. Before that, DA was revised from 50% to 58% and then 58% to 60%. The current order raises it to 63% effective 1 July 2026.

About the Rajasthan DA 60% to 63% revision

What is Dearness Allowance (DA)?

Dearness Allowance (DA) is a cost-of-living adjustment paid to government employees and pensioners in India. It is calculated as a percentage of basic pay and is revised periodically — typically twice a year — based on the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI-IW). For Rajasthan state employees, DA is governed by the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017.

What is a DA arrear?

When a DA revision is announced with retrospective effect, employees are entitled to the difference between the new DA rate and the previously paid DA rate for the intervening period. This unpaid difference is the DA arrear. For the current order, the arrear is the difference between 63% and 60% of basic pay for July to October 2026.

DA revision history (recent)

Order Date From → To Effective Arrear Period
30 Oct 2026 60% → 63% 1 Jul 2026 Jul–Oct 2026
23 Apr 2026 58% → 60% 1 Jan 2026 Jan–Apr 2026

GPF vs cash — why the split?

The Finance Department routes DA arrears through the GPF account (not cash) for the retrospective period to control immediate fiscal outgo while ensuring employees receive the full entitled amount in their provident fund — which earns interest and is available at retirement.
